Jim Skogsbergh, CEO of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care, will be the next chair-elect of the American Hospital Association.

The AHA’s board of trustees elected Skogsbergh, 56, to the role over the weekend. He will begin as board chairman in 2016.

Skogsbergh earned his master of arts degree in 1982 from Health Management and Policy.
