Elizabeth Summy is a regional executive with the American Hospital Association. Ms. Summy’s career has spanned government, health care administration, and nonprofit leadership. She has combined her passion for health care and nonprofit management through senior roles for Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC) and two of the nation’s most notable health care associations: the American Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The Alumni Fellows program, established in 1999, formally recognizes College of Liberal Arts and Sciences graduates or former students for their outstanding contributions to society, their professions, the college, and the University of Iowa. The program is made possible by funds from the UI Alumni Association Dean’s Chair in the Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The event is co-sponsored by The University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Department of Political Science.
