Donate a long-sleeved shirt to support local farmworkers
Published on April 8, 2025
To mark National Farmworker Awareness Week, the Student Association for Rural Health (SARH) is holding a long-sleeved shirt drive! We are collecting new or gently used long-sleeved button down shirts or long-sleeved T-shirts to donate to local farmworkers.
The long-sleeved shirts help provide protection from the sun, pesticides, and extreme weather. There are collection boxes under the stairs on the first floor in the atrium of the College of Public Health Building from April 7 to April 18. Thank you for your donation!
SARH is driven to raise awareness of rural health and health care among students at the University of Iowa. We fulfill this mission through engagement with guest speakers, panel discussions, and volunteer events.
