Calling all student artists

Published on July 16, 2020

The Appendix is a student-run online art journal aimed at featuring artwork from current health profession students. Art is unique—while it is universal and can unite us all, it also has the ability to highlight our individuality. What constitutes art and the manner in which we express ourselves artistically is different for everyone and it is our goal to highlight this diversity. If it is art to you, then it is art to us, and we want to see it!

Submissions do not need to be limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, or other common conceptions of art. While we certainly want to see pieces of these mediums, we also acknowledge that art can include writing of any genre/style, music composition, dance, photography, yoga, cross-stitching, stained glass—the list goes on. The point is that there are no restrictions or limits to what can be submitted!

Submissions can also be made anonymously or under pseudonyms as we understand that not everyone may be ready to have their work associated with their name.

We accept photographs, video submissions, audio clips, or any other format that best displays your artwork.

If you would like your art to be shared with the CCOM & UIHC communities (with the additional bonus of adding “published artist” to your resume) please use the following link to submit:
