Attend a special performance and discussion of ‘Every Brilliant Thing’
Published on December 2, 2016
Join actor Tim Budd and Riverside Theatre director Sean Christopher Lewis for a special performance and discussion of “Every Brilliant Thing” on Friday, December 2, from noon to 1 p.m. in S030 CPHB.
The play tells the story of a young boy who attempts to ease his mother’s sadness by creating a list of all the best things in the world. Through adulthood, as the list grows, he learns the deep significance it has on his own life. Lewis describes it as “One of the best pieces I saw in New York last year. It gives me all the things I want from a holiday-timed play: beauty, family, community, and awe.”
Selected scenes will be performed, followed by reactions and discussion with the actor, director, invited panelists, and audience members. Please note that the play addresses the topics of suicide and depression.
